| Susan
Van Horne Horne
is a graduate of Leeds University, School of Physiotherapy. She
has 30 years
of experience in England, Saudi Arabia and in Nova Scotia for the
past 23 years. Susan is fully
certified in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada
Institute (CAFCI) and is certified in the Chan Gunn Intramuscular
Stimulation technique. Susan also has a special interested in dance
and dance related injuries. She has also had past experience as
a sports physiotherapist and worked with Leeds United football players
while in England. |

Heather
Parker graduated
from Dalhousie University with a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy
in 1996 and was born and raised in the Middleton/Greenwood area.
Heather has a specialty in Vestibular Rehabilitation. She has
completed Level 1 and 2 of the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada
Institute and the Fit-FORE-Golf
program. Heather is also very active in the physiotherapy
profession and is past-President
of the Annapolis Valley Branch of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Our
physiotherapists are licensed by the Nova
Scotia College of Physiotherapy and members of the Canadian Physiotherapy
Association (CPA). They have all taken the extremity and spinal
mobilization courses offered by the Orthopaedic Division of the
CPA. Susan, Carolyn, and Heather have also completed several post-graduate
courses in upper and lower body and spinal mobilisation techniques.
In addition, they have courses and experience in various physiotherapy
techniques such as McKenzie back care, The Mulligan Concept -
Mobilisation with Movement "NAGS, SNAGS and Kiwi Tricks", Shirley
Sahrmann exercises, Jennings Myofascial Release techniques and
many others.
We
take great interest in and have knowledge and experience
in treating sports injuries. A large part of our practice involves
treating acute and chronic motor vehicle accident (motor vehicle
accident) patients and WCB work related injuries.

| Carolyn
Sanford is
a life long resident of the Annapolis Royal area and a graduate
of McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.
She has 31 years of experience
in both the public and private sector. Carolyn is also fully certified
in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute
(CAFCI). She has a special interest in muscle imbalances and movement
dysfunctions. In addition, she has taken specialised courses in
workplace assessments and ergonomics and posture education as it
relates to home and the work place. Carolyn also provides services
for two nursing homes in the Annapolis Royal area. |
